Our name starts
at home.
Our ambition travels.
Me·Do·mot
Our name grew out of Krio expressions for “my doorstep,” “my home,” or “my place.” What began around a logistics idea has grown into a wider technology company.
That original idea of closeness still belongs here: understanding people’s circumstances, working with their context, and making technology useful in everyday life.
Close to context.
Open to possibility.
MeDomot is a technology and innovation company based in Freetown, Sierra Leone.
We bring together digital product development, technology services, and an interest in partnerships that address practical challenges. Our next chapter also includes exploring our own solutions, guided by the problems we understand and the people we can work with.
Our work on DortiBox, in partnership with Freetown Waste Transformers, is one example of how software can contribute to a wider service.
Explore the workStay close.
Listen to the people using the service. Understand the setting and the constraints before prescribing a solution.
Make it useful.
Give each feature a purpose. Keep the outcome in view, and make space to learn from how something is used.
Build together.
Be clear about roles, share what we learn, and recognise the people and organisations behind the work.
A founder.
A shared ambition.
